Get in Touch

Five generations of faith, craftsmanship, and care.

We’re not just building structures… We’re building people.

As a family-owned design and build firm focused on giving our clients an incredible experience, we design their home with intention and build it with craftsmanship.

We listen deeply, design with care, guided by the belief that craftsmanship begins in the heart long before it reaches the hands.

At Providential, excellence is expected, and character is essential.

That’s the difference our clients feel in every conversation, every detail, and every home that bears our name.

Our Core Values

We build on five simple principles that guide each project and partnership.

  • H - Honor God

We steward time, resources, and relationships with integrity, wisdom, and purpose, reflecting God’s character in how we work and lead.

  • E - Elevate Others

We serve with humility, put people first, communicate clearly, and partner deeply with clients, trades, architects, and designers.

  • A - Act With Intention

We design and build with clarity and purpose. Every decision — from layout to unseen details — is made thoughtfully and never rushed or for show.

Behind the Brand

Timeless Design Built to Last

Our mission

Too often, beautiful homes are built without purpose—grand in appearance but lacking lasting intention.

At Providential Custom Homes, what we build isn’t just a house; it’s a home because we’re also building people, not just structures.

Designed with care and built with craftsmanship, we steward every detail to craft homes that endure for generations, creating the opportunity to not only serve our customers but to positively impact everyone who has a hand in making that home come to life.

Our Origin Story

Rooted in faith and craftsmanship

Providential Custom Homes was shaped long before the company itself existed. In 1975, Greg Wright began his career in a cabinet shop in Smithfield, Texas, where he learned that exceptional homes are built on discipline, precision, and respect for the craft. That foundation led him to establish Wood Construction Contractors in 1978, spending the next twelve years framing more than 400 high-end custom homes throughout Tarrant County. Those formative years on the jobsite understanding structure, proportion, and execution at the most fundamental level defined the standards that continue to guide our work today.

After renovating and selling homes, Greg became a full-time custom home builder in 1993, bringing a refined, hands-on approach to every project. In 1997, he partnered with his brother, Mark Wright, to form Wright Designers and Builders, a firm that successfully served clients for nearly a decade and further refined Greg’s design-build philosophy. Building on that foundation, Greg later joined forces with Ty LeBlanc in 2006. Ty brought experience in on-site sales, project management, and independent building, and together they founded Providential Custom Homes with a clear philosophy: truly exceptional homes require thoughtful design, disciplined planning, and craftsmanship without compromise.

For nearly 20 years, Greg and Ty built Providential side by side, earning a reputation for integrity, clarity, and building high-quality homes. In 2025, Ty stepped away from the homebuilding industry to pursue a long-time passion in the short-term rental space. Today, Greg remains deeply involved, focusing on mentoring the next generation and stewarding the values that shaped Providential from the beginning. His presence ensures that every home reflects the same care, intention, and respect for the process that defined the very first one.

Isaac Wright

The Next Generation of Leadership

As Providential looks toward the future, the next generation has stepped into leadership. Isaac Wright now serves as a partner alongside Greg, guiding the continued growth of the company. Having grown up on jobsites, Isaac began working for Providential at a young age helping with site cleaning, punchout work, and wherever support was needed—gaining a firsthand understanding of the effort and coordination required to build exceptional homes. He later earned his associate degree in construction management and joined the company full-time, where he quickly became a driving force behind operational refinement, design-build coordination, and the overall client experience.

His leadership blends deep respect for the craft with a forward-thinking approach, ensuring Providential continues to evolve while staying grounded in its foundation. Providential Custom Homes continues to serve clients who value design excellence, trust the process, and desire a home that lasts both in design and in build.
